About Bonnie Perkins
It has been my privilege for the past 21 years to provide emotional and clinical support to individuals and families at their time of deepest struggle. I am licensed a Marriage and Family Therapist and have years of clinical experience with the problems associated with addiction. I provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families at each stage, from adolescence, through the “empty nest” years. In addition to my professional credentials, I have been blessed to enjoy the rewards and challenges of a long-term marriage and raising a large family of seven spirited children. At this stage in my life, I maintain a small part-time practice using both virtual and office sessions that allows me greater flexibility.
My passion springs from my own painful experiences in a family with generational addictions. I approach my work with deep compassion for those who have been affected and shaped by the struggles of an addicted loved one. I bring a solution-focused, strength-based, practical approach to my work while incorporating spirituality, mindfulness, and holistic skills to enhance overall well-being.
My specialties include the treatment of anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship issues, and adult parenting challenges.
I am committed to bringing my authentic self to each therapy session. It is an honor to be fully present and to hold your trust as you discover the strengths and courage to address the obstacles that are preventing you from living a meaningful, values-based life.
